The Navajo "wedding basket" reflects many values of traditional life; baskets possess a rich history, indicative of the Diné (Navajo) movement into the vast Southwest and their subsequent adoption of a lifestyle which would best help them survive in the high red rock desert of the American Southwest.
These baskets are known for their distinctive colors and markings and are often crusted with corn meal from various ceremonial blessings (see below for more information).
Item Description:
The pair of earrings are approximately 1½" in circumference; 2 styles - with or without turquoise center; choose between hooks, posts or clips(shown).
The color of the white beads may vary slightly as shown (Ivory or cream), depending on current bead inventory.
