The Navajo "wedding basket" reflects many values of traditional life; baskets possess a rich history, indicative of the Diné (Navajo) movement into the vast Southwest and their subsequent adoption of a lifestyle which would best help them survive in the high red rock desert of the American Southwest.
These baskets are known for their distinctive colors and markings and are often crusted with corn meal from various ceremonial blessings (see below for more information).

The pair of earrings are beaded on hinged, nickel free hoops using Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads; choose from 2 color variations AND 2 hoop sizes of 35mm or 45mm in circumference (45mm shown in pic w/ red black and ivory colors, 35 mm is shown in dark red, Gunbarrel and ivory).
